These No Bake Black Sesame Cherry Brownies are a rich, chewy treat packed with wholesome ingredients. The nutty black sesame paste and almond butter pairs beautifully with sweet medjool dates and tart dried cherries, while cocoa powder adds a touch of chocolatey indulgence. A sprinkle of flaky salt ties it all together for the perfect balance of sweet and savory. These brownies are quick to make, naturally vegan, and ideal for a healthy dessert or snack. No baking required—just blend, press, and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup almonds
  • ⅓ cup black cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp black sesame paste
  • ¼ cup almond butter
  • 1 ¼ cup medjool dates, pitted (about 16)
  • ½ cup dried cherries
  • Flaky salt

Preparation

Process

Add almonds to a food processor and pulse until they become a fine breadcrumb consistency. Add cocoa powder, vanilla, black sesame paste, and almond butter. Pulse again until well mixed. Add dates 3 or 4 at a time, pulsing in between each batch until well mixed. Press some of the mixture between your fingers to see if it holds together. Depending on the consistency of your almond butter and sesame paste, you may need to add a few more dates until it becomes sticky.

Press & Refrigerate

Transfer mixture to a bowl and fold in dried cherries. Pour into a parchment lined loaf pan and press firmly into an even layer. Sprinkle with flaky salt before transferring to the fridge to rest for at least four hours or overnight. Slice into 6 pieces and enjoy!

Tips

I used black cocoa powder to achieve the deep black color, but you can easily substitute regular cocoa powder.
