If you’re looking for a way to use up basil that isn’t just making pesto then this is the perfect recipe for you! Frozen blackberries get pureed with fresh spinach, basil, a slightly under ripe banana, and plant-based milk for a delightfully fruity and herbaceous smoothie. It’s also a great way to get in your greens!

Ingredients

  • Smoothie

  • 1 cup spinach
  • ¼ cup fresh basil
  • 1 slightly under ripe banana
  • 1 ½ cups frozen blackberries
  • ¾ cup plant-based milk

Preparation

Puree Ingredients

Combine spinach, basil, banana, blackberries, and plant-based milk in a blender, pureeing until smooth. Pour into a glass and optionally garnish with fresh basil.
